Quarantine

Posted on Apr 11, 2020

This is the fourth week since the California state-wide “Shelter in Place” order was put in place. It’s been four weeks of working from home, cooking at home, working out at home, doing everything at home. It’s been a bit of an adjustment, especially in a new city, but I think we’ve got the hang of it. I’m finding hobbies (like this blog!) and adjusting to this new normal. As time goes on, I begin to relish more of these little things. The picture above, a sunset one night after eating dinner, is one such thing.

I glanced out the window and noticed the sun setting on the other side of twin peaks, it was prime golden-hour. I just stared out for a few minutes, it was beautiful. The sky was a clear blue with a pink hue in the distance, the sun reflecting out of the houses in the hills, and a plethora of colorful houses making for this perfect moment in an imperfect time.
